The entire student body of the Ghana International School (GIS), together with their teachers and administrators, has added its voice to global calls for leaders to find the 200 school girls abducted in Nigeria.

The 1,420 students came to school in anything red as a sign of solidarity for their missing African ‘sisters’.

The Principal of GIS, Mrs Diana Nyatepe-Coo, who initiated the demonstration, said in a letter to parents, staff and students that “as a school and as a member of the African International Schools Association (AISA), we believe that every girl and boy has the right to be educated.

“In support of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign, we join other schools across Africa to urge our leaders to find the missing school girls and send them to their parents and loved ones.”
