The Member of Parliament for Akwatia in the Eastern Region, Ernest Kumi is reported dead.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP was representing the people of Akwatia is said to have died on Monday, July 7, 2025.

He is said to have died from a cardiac attack.
