‘Entrust nation to credible, trustworthy leaders’
The Head Pastor of Restoration Community Chapel (RCC), Prophet Shamoson Glory Abbey, has advised Christians to entrust the nation to leaders who are credible and trustworthy.
He said the elections were not a do or die affair, so every aspirant must be accorded the same respect, since they were all qualified to lead Ghana.
He gave the advice at the 6th anniversary celebration of the Ogbojo branch of the church in Accra.
Prophet Abbey further stated that the prediction of the outcome of the December 7 polls by men of God could lead the country into chaos.
That, according to him, was because of the false hope given to political parties.
He, therefore, advised Ghanaians to ignore “prophets who predict winners of the elections.”
Essence of Sacrifice
Preaching on the theme: “Sacrifice,” Prophet Abbey encouraged his congregation to do everything wholeheartedly and not to shift blame when they go wrong. “Be like David who was quick to confess and ask for forgiveness after sleeping with Bathsheba instead of blaming the architect for letting the bathroom face the direction of the king’s room, don’t be like Adam who blamed Eve for making him eat fruit from the forbidden tree,” he stressed.
Projects
The Branch Pastor of RCC Ogbojo, Rev. Eric Okpoti-Paulo, said the church was setting up a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which would help needy children in the church and the community.
He explained that as part of the project, there would be an after-school programme where volunteers would be available to help children in the community with their homework and other academic related issues.
