GLICO Healthcare donates GH¢100,000 to Korle Bu Paediatric Oncology Unit

GLICO Healthcare has culminated its 20th Anniversary celebrations with a donation of GH¢100,000 to the Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Foundation, an initiative of the Paediatric Oncology Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The donation, made during a brief ceremony, was aimed at supporting the hospital’s critical efforts in child cancer treatment and patient care.

This donation marks the climax of a series of activities organised to celebrate two decades of GLICO Healthcare’s leadership in the private health insurance sector.

Events

The anniversary events included health screening, a health walk and corporate social responsibility initiatives that underscored GLICO Healthcare's commitment to enhancing access to quality healthcare in Ghana.

Speaking at the event, the Founder and Executive Chairman of GLICO Group, Dr Kwame Achampong-Kyei said, "we are honoured to present this donation as the grand finale of GLICO Healthcare’s 20th Anniversary celebrations”.

He said access to healthcare was fundamental and the contribution of GH¢100,000 to the Korle Bu’s Paediatric Oncology Unit was part of an ongoing commitment to improving healthcare services in the country.
