ICAG supports Village of Hope
The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana (ICAG) has donated chest freezers, gas cookers and mattresses to the Village of Hope Orphanage at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.
The donation reinforces the accountancy regulatory body’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. It forms part of activities marking the 2026 Accountants’ Week celebrations, scheduled to take place in Ho from May 15 to 22, 2026.
Presenting the items, the President of ICAG, Augustine Addo, said the gesture was to support the work of the caregivers, encourage and give hope to the children at the orphanage.
“As an institution and regulatory body, our duty goes beyond the accountancy profession as we must also support our communities, especially those in need of support,” he said.
He commended the management and staff of the Village of Hope for their dedication and daily care for the children, and further encouraged the children to remain focused on their education and engage in activities that would secure them a bright future.
“We kindly encourage that the items donated today are well-maintained and used for their intended purpose, so they can continue to make a lasting impact,” he added.
Appreciation
The Group Managing Director of Village of Hope, Fred Asare, expressed appreciation to ICAG for the gesture, adding that the donation would greatly enhance the operations of the organisation.
He explained that the entire operations of the Village of Hope were supported by benevolent individuals and organisations.
He, therefore, appealed for more support to enable the Village of Hope to continuously execute its mandate of caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
