The training programme brought together key personnel involved in the management of the company’s operations who were equipped with skills on hazards identification, risk assessment and controls and prevention of work related ill-health.
According to the Operations and Safety Manager of PETROSOL, Mr Joseph Yaribil, the company had over the years invested heavily in building the capacity of its staff to ensure that they were conversant with the standard operating procedures and best industry practices.
According to him, the recent training programme followed a series of other safety training programmes the company had conducted in the past for its fuel station managers in all the regions as well as its tanker drivers.
He, therefore, indicated that the company would continue to allocate resources to ensure that there was continuous training of its staff to build their capacity.
PETROSOL currently operates a network of 75 fuel stations across the 10 regions.
