He observed that misunderstandings and conflicts were bound to exist in the daily life of every individual but that the torture and the suffering of Jesus Christ should remind Ghanaians to tolerate each others’ views for peace to reign.

Rev. Father Yitera gave the advice on Friday when he officiated a Good Friday Mass at the OLA Catholic Cathedral in Tamale, which marks the death of Jesus Christ in the Christian Calendar.

He urged Christians all over the country to let the crucifixion of Christ on the Cross of Calvary remind them of the need to forgive one another, be each others’ keeper and seek national unity and cohesion for continuous peaceful coexistence.

“It was necessary for Christians to devote much of their time to serve God and share with the needy in society so as to receive salvation”, Rev. Father Yitera added.

Rev. Father Yitera said if humanity learnt to forgive one another, the numerous conflicts both at home and at work places would not exist and stressed that, “Forgiveness is virtue”, which every Christian must possess.
