Special bonanza for MTN customers today

MTN Ghana, in support of the ECOWAS Day celebrations, has announced that it is offering its subscribers a 50 per cent discount on all outbound calls to destinations within the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).

“The 50 per cent  discount on intra-community calls is in compliance with the ECOWAS Resolution calling for special tariff reduction on ECOWAS Day,” it said. 

ECOWAS Day is celebrated annually on  May 28 to mark the establishment of the Economic Community of West African States and also to commemorate key achievements particularly in the areas of economic integration and security since its establishment. 

Speaking on the discount of tariffs on all outbound intra-community calls, the acting Corporative Services Executive of MTN Ghana,Mr  Samuel Koranteng said,” MTN Ghana recognises the role communication plays in ensuring integration, in this vein MTN willingly complied with the ECOWAS resolution so as to help in deepening the role information and communication technologies play in realising the goals of the Community.”

“ ICT tools do not only enhance integration but have come to serve as catalysts for rapid socio-economic development.

“MTN Ghana joins  ECOWAS  in  celebrating  ECOWAS  Day and takes the opportunity to  congratulate  the  governments  and  the  people  of  the  Economic  Community  of  West African States on this Day. 

“Let’s remember that on ECOWAS day we can enjoy 50 per cent  discount on all outbound calls to destinations within ECOWAS on Ghana’s largest telecommunications network, MTN,”Mr Koranteng said.
