Farouk Aliu Mahama wins Yendi NPP primary

Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, son of former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama has been elected as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Yendi constituency in the Northern Region.
Farouk, a deputy procurement manager at the Ghana Cocoa Board won the contest with 244 votes as against 210 and 139 votes obtained by Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakaria, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Loans Centre (MASLOC) and Alhaji Baba Daney, a Chartered Accountant in the keenly contested primary.
