Vigilance

He urged the constituents to remain vigilant and report anyone who would sneak into the communities to avoid the spread of the virus.

"I am urging my people to remain vigilant and not allow people to sneak into the area from Accra and Kumasi. We are aware that a lot of people migrated from such areas to other places; we, therefore, must be extra vigilant to report those who moved into the ares.

“We cannot underestimate this pandemic; it is a serious issue which knows no political colour, age group or race. It is important that we adhere strictly to the directives given by the President so that we protect ourselves from this virus," he said.

Mr Adomako-Mensah urged the constituents to remain calm and observe the health precautions to curb the spread of the virus.

Suspected cases

The Disease Control Officer at the Health Directorate, Mr Michael Linsey, who received the items, expressed gratitude for the support.

"The district has recorded two suspected cases of COVID-19; the samples have been sent to the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR) and we are awaiting results. Meanwhile, the two patients have been self-isolated and contacts are being traced," he said.
