NDC outlines roadmap for internal elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has outlined a comprehensive roadmap for the conduct of the party's 2026 internal elections.

It covers the various stages of the electoral process, including the opening of nominations, filing of nominations, vetting of aspirants, appeals, balloting and elections at the constituency, regional and national levels.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by the party’s Deputy General Secretary, Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, said the release of the timetable reaffirmed the party's commitment to conducting transparent, credible and well-organised internal elections in accordance with the constitution of the National Democratic Congress and the approved election guidelines.

“The party, therefore, calls on all regional and constituency executives, aspirants and members to carefully study the attached timetable and ensure strict adherence to all stipulated timelines, procedures and deadlines.

“Compliance with these schedules is essential to guarantee a smooth, orderly and successful electoral process,” it stated.

It expressed the hope that the spirit of unity and collective purpose that had characterised the reorganisation process will continue to strengthen the party as we prepare to secure an emphatic victory in the 2028 general election.
