He said they should continue to have hope in the Better Ghana Agenda, adding that in spite of the present difficulties, there would be change very soon.

Mr Kpodo was addressing constituency executive members at Matse as part of a tour of zones in the constituency to brief them on proceedings in Parliament and also  to listen to their views.

He announced that funding had been secured for the construction of two schools at Ziavi and Takla and the completion of a junior high school building which was started in 2007 at Tanyigbe.

Mr Kpodo further announced that funding had been made available to construct additional classrooms for the nurses training college in Ho, adding that the project was expected to take off by the end of the first quarter of the year.

He added that he had instituted prizes for the best students in the business programme for all seven senior high schools in the constituency and that his vision for the year was to provide community toilets and boreholes in needy communities.

Mr Kpodo said he was lobbying for the construction of the Matse –Klavee road to facilitate the evacuation of foodstuffs to marketing centres.

According to him, he had contributed on the floor of Parliament to put the Ho-Central Constituency in the limelight.

The Vice-Chairman of NDC in the constituency, Mr Divine Feg Afedo,  advised the people against rumour mongering, warning that peddling of unfounded allegations could lead to the destruction of people’s hard-earned reputation and could also break their ranks.

He said they should resolve to live in peace in the new year and to build a stronger foundation to face the future.

The Lume Branch Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Dzamefe,  advised them against using forged documents to seek  jobs because it was a criminal offence  and revealed  that the date of birth of all applicants had been embosed on their certificates and that could be detected later.

The Deputy Propaganda Secretary, Mr Delali Ransford Kasu,  disclosed that the MP’s tour   covered all the five zones of the constituency from Dutarsor, Norvisi, Hokpeta, Sokode and Ho zones.
