NDC Polls: Yieleh Chireh floored by ex-cop Tuubo

Mr Peter Lanchene Tuubo, the former Executive Secretary to the immediate past Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr David Asante-Apeatu, who resigned from the Police Service to contest the Wa West Parliamentary ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has beaten the incumbent Member of Parliament, Joseph Yieleh Chireh.
Mr Tuubo polled 755 to beat the veteran politician who polled 317.
Tuubo will lead the NDC in the constituency for the 2020 parliamentary election.

Avedzi retains slot at Ketu North
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, James Kluste Avedzi has retained his position.
He polled 861 of the total votes cast in the Saturday, August 24 polls.
Mr Avedzi’s closest contender, Gabriel Komiga polled 97.
