Nduom charges youth to develop potential
Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has charged Ghanaian youth to develop their full potential in order to be able to harness opportunities that will be made available to them by the right leadership.

In line with this, he has asked the youth to use their right to vote wisely for a government that will create the required opportunities for them to realise their dreams and potential.
According to Dr Nduom, who is also the President of Groupe Nduom, a conglomerate of multinational companies, everyone is endowed with great talents but it takes the right government/leadership to create the opportunities for the youth to exploit.
He was the special guest at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Students Representative Programme, Tech Talk.
Tech Talk is a major talk programme on the SRC week calendar of KNUST.
‘You get what you vote for’
“All I am saying to you is that the talents that you have are just as good; just as wonderful, just as that of anyone, anywhere else in the world. All that you need is a bit of opportunity to achieve your full potential”, Dr Nduom declared.
“...And where do we get opportunity in a country called Ghana? That is where I go just a little bit into politics. ...I say to you, you get what you vote for! You cannot go and plant a seed meant for maize and expect in a little while to get rice - it is not possible," he further stressed.
He therefore advised the students not to follow political parties for the sake of it and added that “it is only the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) that will give you that opportunity to realise your potential”.

Brilliant minds
Dr Nduom noted that God had placed in everybody, including the youth, brilliant minds that must be put to good use in order to make meaningful contribution to society.
“Do you know who you are? And do you know what you can become? I am here to tell you this evening that you have been endowed with a brilliant mind, wonderful God-given talent, the same as any human being on this earth,” he told the students.
Using himself as an example, Dr Nduom told the students how he rose from being the ordinary boy from Elmina in the Central Region to become one of the five black partners in multi-national accounting firm Deloitte and Touche in the USA, stressing that that became possible because the American leadership created the right opportunity for people like him to rise to a high level.
“If I can go to St. Augustine’s, move from there and go to the US; I can sit in the same classroom as everyone else and I can rise to become a partner in a firm like Deloitte & Touche and be like anyone of those people who are partners in the firm in the US at the time when there were about 1000 partners; five of us blacks - one originally from Jamaica, two from the US, the next a woman also from the US and from the South and me from Africa, then you can also make it,” he assured.
Dr Nduom urged the students not to give up on their aspirations but to persevere with a positive attitude to be the solution the world needed.
