He has, therefore, urged them to use games and other forms of entertainment to promote peace.

Mr Quaittoo made the call at a two-day  competition he organised for members of the youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Oda constituency at Oda last weekend.

The games comprised football, volleyball, weightlifting and tug-of-war.

According to Mr Quaittoo, the objective of the games was to encourage the youth to be forward-thinking and develop their God-given talents.

He said God created all people with latent potential so it was up to the individuals to develop their potential for them to contribute their quota towards national development.

The Oda Constituency Youth Organiser of the NPP, Mr Aaron Donkor, explained that the objective of the games was to unite the youth in the constituency.

In the football competition, Jamaica defeated Okyeman 2-1 on penalties to lift the  trophy donated by Mr William Agyapong Quaittoo, while GYC beat Placid to lift the volleyball trophy, with Nana Agyei winning the weightlifting trophy.
