3 RFA chairmen want opponents disqualified
Three Regional Football Association (RFA) chairmen, contesting the upcoming Executive Committee (ExCo) election of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have filed appeals against their contenders after the Election Committee gave them the greenlight to contest.

At the close of day last Monday, the day set for appeal to be filed, the Upper West RFA chairman, Salifu Shaibu Zida, his counterpart from the Volta Regiion, Francis Dogbatse, as well as Kojo Yankah, the RFA chairman for the Western Region, had successfully filed their appeals.
They are challenging the ruling of the Richard Oblitey Solomon-led Committee which had cleared their challengers, Gambila Boison (Upper West), Anthony Osei (Western) and Mawutor Agbavitor (Volta), during their vetting as eligible to stand.
The Central Regional FA chairman, M.N.S. Doe, had also hinted he was going to appeal if his challenger, Roy Ankrah, was given the greenlight to contest, but it was not clear if he succeeded in filing his appeal before the 5:00pm deadline.
Though the exact reasons for the appeal were not made known, the Graphic Sports is reliably informed that they filed on grounds that their challengers did not meet the criteria as stipulated in Article 5 of the GFA Regulations.

Premier League: George Afriyie (Liberty Professionals), Frank Nelson Nwokolo (Hearts of Oak), Samuel Opoku Nti (Kotoko), Kudjoe Fianoo (Ashgold), Nanabanyin Eyison (Hasaacas), Kingsley Osei Bonsu (Bechem FC), Albert Commey (Aduana Stars), Fred Acheampong (New Edubiase United), Delali Eric Senayah (Inter Allies), and Emmanuel Larbi Amoah, popularly known as Barbados (Medeama FC)and Kofi Manu (B.A. United).
Division One League: Fred Crentsil (Techiman City FC), Wilfred Kwaku Osei (Tema Youth) and Kweku Eyiah (Tarkwa United), Kurt Okraku( Dreams FC), Jones Alhassan Abu (Real Tamale United), J.F. Mensah (Dwarfs) , Oloboi Commodore (Sporting Mirren), Kofi Poku (D'International) , Ronald Jojo Duncan (Proud United), Ebo Kobina Appiah (KFC Samosa) and Barima Otuo Acheampong, popularly known as 'Sometimer' (Asokwa Deportivo).
