Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg to speak at 2024 Africa Basketball Festival Summit

The 2024 Africa Basketball Festival (ABF) is set to gather participants from ten countries for four days of basketball, fashion shows, and musical performances at the University of Ghana from October 24-27, 2024.

The event will kick off with the inaugural ABF Sports, Innovation, and Entertainment Summit, which will focus on the intersection of sports, technology, and business. 

The summit, themed "Reimagining the Game: Shaping the Future of Sports, Innovation, and Entertainment", will take place on Thursday, October 24, at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana.

Among the keynote speakers is Mr. Owusu Tufuor, the Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg, France, responsible for sports. He will address the topic "Social Impact Through Sports," sharing insights on how sports can drive social change and community development. 

Mr. Tufuor, a well-known advocate for youth and community initiatives, will highlight successful sports-based social impact programs and discuss the role of athletes as community leaders and influencers.

The summit will also feature distinguished speakers discussing various topics, including the economics of sports and entertainment, the future of Esports, and the evolving role of music in enhancing the sports experience. 

These sessions aim to provide insights into the financial models driving the industries, the rise of competitive gaming, and how music plays a role in sports events.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and network with key speakers and panelists during the event.
