In the third-place playoff, Newtown claimed a 2-1 victory on penalties against 441 Nima, following a 1-1 draw in normal time. Both teams delivered spirited performances, but Newtown ultimately secured third place.

The tournament, held at the Kawukudi Astroturf Park under the theme “Football for Unity, Football for Peace,” brought together 16 teams from various communities to promote peaceful elections ahead of Ghana's upcoming polls.

The grand prize of GH₵10,000 was up for grabs, but Fadama 133 walked away with GH₵15,000 after award-winning dancehall artist Stonebwoy generously donated an additional GH₵10,000. Sabon Zongo received GH₵3,000, while Newtown earned GH₵2,000 from the donation.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Serki Hakeem Musah, the Madina Nkosouhene, and Asa Awel Abdel Aziz Fadama, the Kajanga Youth Chief, emphasizing the role of community leadership in promoting peace during election periods.

Organizer Awalu Angulu expressed satisfaction with the success of the gala, highlighting that scouts had discovered several young talents during the matches, offering potential career opportunities for the players. He also called on the youth in Zongo communities to remain peaceful as the elections approach.

With the slogan “One Goal, One Vote, One Ghana,” the Youth Peaceful Elections Unity Soccer Gala not only celebrated football but also reinforced the message of unity and peace, reminding participants and spectators alike of the importance of harmony for the future of the nation.
