The Ghana Wheelchair Tennis men’s team, consisting of Bernard Yawson and Daniel Laryea, secured the bronze medal by defeating Kenya 3-0 during the closing ceremony of the 2025 ITF BNP Paribas World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers in Rabat, Morocco.
Morocco claimed the gold medal, while Egypt took home the silver in the men’s team event.
The team, under the leadership of Kwabena Afriyie-Siaw, expressed their gratitude to the Ghana Tennis Federation's Wheelchair Tennis Committee, as well as the generous individuals from the Volta Region and Donewell Insurance who helped fund their participation.
National Coordinator Henry Larbi extended thanks to Bridget Nartey, Stacy Konadu Mensah, and Coach Philip Plange for their two-week training camp with the team ahead of the competition.

He also acknowledged the International Tennis Federation for their travel grant, which supported the Ghana Tennis Federation's efforts.
Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco, H.E. Mrs. Charity Gbedawo, who attended the closing ceremony, congratulated the team for their achievement, noting their pride in representing both Ghana and themselves.
