Gilbert Fiamenyo — Accra Hearts of Oak

Hearts ready for Olympique de Ngor

Hearts of Oak are boosted by their victory over AS Police of Benin as they take on Olympique de Ngor on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the round of 32 of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

Despite their unimpressive form in the local league, Hearts are expected to make a serious case for the local football in this tough battle against the Senegalese side.

Ghana’s sole representatives in this year’s competition will take on another francophone side after ousting Beninois side AS Police of Benin in the last round.

The Phobians will again be looking to put their indifferent home-form behind them when they play the Senegalese side who have picked only 14 points from 11 domestic games.

However, the Phobians must be wary of the Senegalese threat as they defeated Cameroon’s Unisport Bafang 3-2 on aggregate to set up a date with the Phobians.

The Phobians will be hoping their attack which boasts the talents of Gilbert Fiamenyo and Emmanuel Hayford will have enough firepower to make the second leg a formality.

Herbert Addo’s side will also take solace from the Ngor’s poor domestic scoring record which has seen them score seven goals and conceded 6 in 11 outings.
