Ghana’s Black Stars lived up to expectation last Thursday by thrashing Mozambique 3-1 in an AFCON 2017 first leg qualifier at the Accra Stadium.
Anderlecht attacker, Frank Acheampong, opened the scoring for Ghana early in the game, followed by a header by acting skipper John Boye, and a strike by Jordan Ayew later in the game, before the visitors pulled a goal back.
The Ghanaians went on to force a goalless draw in the return leg in Maputo last Sunday, leaving them at the top of the group with 10 points.
