Coach Yatsuhashi was admitted to the Ridge Hospital last Friday after he complained of body pains.

The 46-year-old Japanese-born American trainer who is said to have recovered before the club’s MTN/FA Cup duel against Wassaman last Sunday, has been advised by his doctor to take some rest.

Preko acted in the absence of his boss and the led the Phobians to a 3-0 hammering of Wassaman at the Accra Sports Stadium, according to reports.

He insisted that even though the absence of Kenichi did not affect the play of the boys, the team generally missed the Japanese trainer.

Coach Preko described the performance of the players as one that brings a healthy competition to the team.

“Today we played a lot of the players who are coming back from injury and those who have not played for a long time. I think it is good for the team if you have players who are back from long-term injury, scoring goals for us. I am happy for what the players are bringing to the team.”

“Though we missed Kenichi on the bench, the boys knew they had to do their best to reward him with a victory.

“We have missed our head coach. I think the team wasn’t bad in his absence though. Hopefully he will start training this week and you will see him during our next game,” Preko stated.

Hearts opened the scores in the 28th minute through Kenneth Okoro Kenneth, with Kwame Kizito increasing the tally few minutes before the break. Okoro made it three in the second half. — GNA
