Interplast gives to skating team

Interplast Ghana last Sunday donated sporting equipment worth GH¢30,000 to the skating football team at their UTC training base in Accra.

The items, including jerseys and hand and knee gears, are to give some assistance to the disabled.

Making the donation, the Managing Director of Interplast, Mr Hayssam Fakhry, said he was touched after watching the team’s video online and, therefore, decided to assist them.

He pledged his outfit's commitment to support the team annually in their bid to live decently.

The Coach and Manager of the skating football side, Albert Frimpong, thanked Interplast for the gesture and said the kit would help the team to protect themselves as they train.

He noted that his dream of giving the disabled team something to do with their lives is being realised, with corporate entities coming on board.

"I am so happy and I thank Interplast for this gesture. I have been running this on my own for eight years now and it is good to see corporate entities coming on board to support us,”  he stated.
