Kwarasey signs for US club
Black Stars goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has reportedly signed a three-year deal to join Major League Soccer side Portland Timbers next season.
Timbers already have on their roster Ghanaian midfielder, Khalif Alhassan, son of former Black Stars and Accra Great Olympics legend, George ‘Jair’ Alhassan.

According the reports in the Norwegian media, Kwarasey has signed a three-year deal with the US club and is set to quit Norwegian side, Strømsgodset, at the end of the current season, having made 167 appearances in all competitions for the club he joined in 2007.
The 26-year-old goalie, whowas born in Norway to a Ghanaian father and Norwegian mother, announced at the end of October that he would be leaving Strømsgodset after his contract expires at the end of the 2014 season.
The 6-foot-3 Kwarasey, who has earned 21 caps for Ghana, was the Stars’ first choice keeper in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2012 and was in post for Ghana’s first group game against the United States during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
