Rugby league resumes

The Ghana Rugby Association (GRA) Senior 15s League resumed last Saturday at the University of Ghana Rugby Pitch in Accra with a lot of excitement.

The league, which is  sponsored by Beaufort Properties Limited, started with Aggreguaa RFC taking on Idas RFC in the first match which ended 57-0 in favour of Idas RFC. 

In other matches, Legon Titans beat Oguaaman Ocean Warriors by 41 to 0, while Cosmos Buffalos beat Abura Bombers by 43 to 0.

Defending champions; Cosmos Buffalos were toppled at the top of the table on superior goals by Idas Sports. 

 The outstanding matches between Accra Sharks and Mfantadisc and that of Black Panthers and Dansoman Hurricanes would be played over next weekend, January 18, in Cape Coast.

The results shows that, Idas RFC is on top of the table after two matches with Cosmos Buffalos after both secured six points but Idas RFC leads with goal difference, followed by Legon Titans on third place, Dansoman Hurricane on fourth, Oguaaman Ocean Warriors on fifth, Black Panthers on sixth, Accra Sharks on seventh, Mfantadisc on eighth, Abura Bombers on ninth and Aggreguaa RFC as the bottom club.

Regular league action resumes at the Adisadel Schools and Colleges Park in Cape Coast on Saturday, January 25.
