Satellites plot Zambia victory

Ghana’S Black Satellites, who got their African Youth Championship campaign to a flying start last Monday with a 2-0 win over South Africa, appear to be in an all-conquering mission and will look to consolidate their gains tomorrow with a victory over Zambia in their second game in M’bour.

With a magnificent midfield output contrived from the efforts of Benjamin Tetteh, Asiedu Attobrah,Yaw Yeboah and Clifford Aboagye, the Satellites appear to have very few peers in the championship in Senegal.

Indeed, the team is not short of the confidence reposed in the team by Coach Sellas Tetteh, as well as GFA vice-chairman Fred Crentsil, who after watching the them trained ahead of the tournament stated emphatically that: “This is the best team I have seen for a long time”.

But all this confidence stand yet another test this afternoon against a very robust Zambian side who took the Malians through an ordeal of crunch and crude tackles in their game last Monday before losing by a slim 0-1 margin.

One of the strong points of the Ghanaians is their resilient backline, particularly along the flanks where Patrick Asmah and skipper Owusu Bempah operate.

With this combination of strong defence and mobile midfield, the Satellites look set to consolidate their position on top of the Group B.
