Over the years, players who failed the scan are often disqualified from the team but the continent’s football governing body has amended the rules.

After their Executive Committee meeting, it has now been established that the entire Under-17 national team would be disqualify from participating in any competition once a single player fails the MRI test.

“An amendment to the MRI test regulations was approved so as to disqualify any team that has even one ineligible player.

CAF also stated that following the request of the host country, the confederation has decided to reschedule the Under-17 competition in Morocco to March 13-31 2021.

“Following a request by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, the final tournament has been rescheduled for 13 – 31 March 2021”.
