The emergence of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in our present day economy has virtually changed the way things are done in nearly every sector e.g agriculture, banking, construction, medical, mining, oil & gas, education etc. In education,

ICT has emerged as an indispensable tool for teaching and learning  that can help to bring about significant changes in colleges.

Today, colleges in developed nations, as well as developing nations all tend towards adopting ICT in order to boost their service delivery to students.

ICT Academic City

Academic City College (ACC), Accra, is a college with a difference that is aimed at contributing to the development of ICT in Ghana and Africa at large. Presently, ACC offers Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT) and Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems (BSc BIS) as courses in Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Technology. This is to ensure that students receive valuable ICT training.

With well-trained academicians having sound ICT knowledge, well-equipped ultra-modern ICT laboratories and well qualified technical support staff, the department of Information Technology is at its best to provide sound ICT knowledge using modern technologies as compared to what is obtainable in US, Europe and Asia.

With our motto “Academic Excellence” the college wishes not only to contribute to ICT through quality and technical ICT education in Ghana but also to redefine ICT in education by ensuring that graduates produced would be comparable to international standards. Thus, the institution has qualified and tested IT professionals who invest quality time in students individually and monitor their academic progress and this is complimented with spacious and well-resourced computer laboratories, lecture theatres and facilities for technology-enabled teaching at the college. Our library has a database of high quality literature on all disciplines with thousands of materials on our online catalogue.
