Advans Ghana commits to agriculture

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Advans Ghana, Mr Brieuc Cardon, has said that Advans is committed to supporting the agricultural sector.

Towards that end, he has announced plans to provide assistance in the form of credit facilities to individual farmers in a bid to boost the sector.

“Agriculture is an area that we are equally interested in, and so we will be partnering with the various stakeholders to provide support to the sector,” Mr Cardon told the Daily Graphic  in an interview on the sidelines of a branch opening over the weekend in Accra.

“This month, for instance, we have disbursed loans to about 300 rice farmers in the Volta Region and we also intend to start another partnership with cocoa farmers across the country,” the CEO stated.

Mr Cardon  said the financial house would continue to maintain a cautious approach to growth with a strategy to capture the unbanked while introducing customer-interest products onto the market.

“Our financial institution has a long-term vision to be a market leader. What this means is that we are here to be the market leader in customer satisfaction, so that if any customer comes into contact with our products and services, he or she is excited and wants to come back for more,” he stressed.

Mr Cardon explained that Advans Ghana was committed to offering tailor-made products to serve both existing and prospective customers.

New branch

The company opened its branch at Madina, near Accra, as part of its  plans to improve its brand visibility and expand its distribution channels in the country.

This brings the number of Advans Ghana’s branches to 16, a move that puts its strategic target of deepening its foot print across the country by the close of the year on track.

The Chief Operation Officer of Advans Ghana, Madam Barbara Odei, said the branch expansion drive and the innovative service solutions were aimed at ensuring that customers enjoyed convenience in an enabling environment for easy and accessible banking services.
