A new season of Agrofie is being packaged to start showing on GTV by the end of this month and a number of music stars have been recorded to spice the programmes.

Pat Thomas was the main performer at Effiduase while Daasebre Gyamena had his turn at Koforidua. Veteran Bob Pinodo was the attraction at Elmina and Gasmilla stole the show in Accra.

“We have so far been happy with the cooperation from our musicians. They appreciate the fact Agrofie has a wide viewership and that helps in selling their brands to the public,” said programme host, David Dontoh.

The key idea behind Agrofie which is produced by Katamadara Concepts, is the impartation of culturally-relevant knowledge to viewers in an entertaining way.

“We don’t just focus on big name acts when we hit the road. We ensure that local up-and-coming artistes also get the opportunity to show what they can do and that principle always goes down well with local folks wherever we go,” David Dontoh noted.

He said Agrofie is also an outlet for entertainment venues in communities across the country to get mentioned several times on a national network and that encourages owners of the venues to keep their facilities in tip-top shape to attract the Agrofie team

The upcoming season of the programme is sponsored by Vodafone Cash.
