Daughters of Glorious Jesus unveil first signee

After 30 years of being in the music industry, Gospel music group, Daughters of Glorious Jesus have taken a step in raising a new generation of artistes.

The veteran singers recently unveiled the first signee on their music label Priseine Hub Ltd.  

The ceremony, which took place at the Sunlodge Hotel in Accra saw the group, made up of Cynthia Appiadu, Edna Sarpong and Monica Owusu Ansah, pour blessings on Afia Sika who has served the group as a backing vocalist for 15 years.
 
The lead singer of Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Cynthia Appiadu, said apart from being a talented musician, Afia Sika had been very loyal, serving in various capacities to ensure their well-being.

According to her, Afia Sika had learned a lot from them so she could easily replace one of them if the need arises.

“For example if one of us cannot be available at an event, Afia Sika will be a perfect fit to do the work. She has been with the group for 15 years and can confidently sing all our songs. We have no regret signing her because she has paid her dues,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

Afia Sika, who said she was happy to be signed by Daughters of Glorious Jesus indicated that it was a privilege and a dream come true to be mentored and signed by such seasoned Gospel musicians.

“I have always looked up to Daughters of Glorious Jesus and I feel blessed to be officially part of the family today. I have had the opportunity to perform with them on many stages and I relish all those moments,” she stated.

Talking about her music career, Afia Sika said, “I have already recorded a few songs ready for release in a few weeks and I pray God uses my songs to change many lives. It is also my prayer that the Lord lifts me high and makes my songs travel beyond the shores of Ghana.”

Afia Sika whose real name is Gyamfua Eghan, is currently promoting her new single, Yesu Asueme. The song, recorded by sound engineer Bempong, tells the broken hearted and the dejected to count on Jesus as He is the answer to every problem.
