I don’t hate Yvonne Nelson —Victoria Lebene

IT seems actress and entrepreneur Victoria Lebene has been on a ‘shade throwing spree’ since actress and filmmaker Yvonne Nelson launched her autobiography, I am Not Yvonne Nelson, a few days ago.

She has been lambasting Yvonne over certain chapters in the book that attempt to give a sneak peek into the actress' sex and past relationships describing it as sensitive information and needless making it available to the public.

Her ‘jabs’ have set tongues wagging that she had always had something against Yvonne and was just taking advantage of the supposed escapees in the book to pick on her.

But the Broken Mirror actress clears the air in a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, saying she had nothing against Miss Nelson just that her colleague ought to have exercised extreme caution when discussing some of the delicate subjects she described in the book.

The mother of two argued that it was totally inappropriate and insensitive of Yvonne to have disclosed such intimate details to the public, especially given the fact that could dent the reputation of the parties involved and have a negative impact on their families.

“I do not hate Yvonne, not at all. I just feel she went overboard with some of the intimate details she shared. I am not saying Yvonne shouldn’t voice out how she felt but she should have been sensitive on how she went about it.

“It would have been appropriate if she had toned down on some of the admissions she made in the book without giving out such explicit details. This is because the same way you think you are healing, that is the same way the others involved may need to heal from this too.

“Sarkodie is bigger now, he wasn’t big at the time. You should consider the person’s reputation considering the fact that he is a married man with children. The emotions of the wife and the children all come to play.

“It is not everybody that can take such things, I may be strong enough to take any bullet that comes my way but not everybody can. She should have considered all these,” she said.

Victoria Lebene explained further by saying: “I don’t believe in the past, I only believe that whatever happened then should be able to make me strong and put me on the right path so that I can be a better version of myself.

“If I have to write a book, it will be one to empower people, to advise people, I don’t think I want to give a memoir of how I have had sex or how many times I have had an abortion, it doesn’t make sense. But this doesn’t mean I hate her; this is my opinion. It is okay if it’s a strategy to sell the book but sometimes, we should check the sensitivity of things we say and do”, she added.
