Accra-based Zylofon 102.1 FM has raided Global Media Alliance (GMA) for two of its most promising sports journalists Jeffries Kwabena Sintim Koree popularly known as Chaskele and Isaac Asempah.
The pair resigned from the GMA affiliate Happy FM last month and began their new adventure today (February 1) with East Legon based Zylofon FM as co-hosts of Zylofon Sports, a twice daily show on weekdays (Monday-Friday from 6am to 7am and 6pm to 7pm).
Chaskele carved his niche at Happy FM as the presenter for the foreign news tit-bits as well as exclusive interviews with Ghanaian sports personalities while Asempa hosted television show: "The Team" on eTV and was the Online Editor and Social Media manager of Happy FM.
Asempah, who was named 2017 eTV Employee of the Year as host of The Team bid farewell to the station in a post on Facebook:
"I joined (Happy 98.9 FM and e.TV Ghana) on the 12th of January, 2015. Three years on, it's time to bid farewell to this wonderful family. My time here, the experiences and opportunities I garnered are priceless! May God continue to bless Global Media Alliance Official and make them greater and stronger!"
Chaskele in a similar post on Facebook admitted that it was his intention to spend his entire career as a broadcaster at Happy FM but found the Zylofon FM offer too good to turn down.
Chaskele and Isaac Asempa have joined the likes of DJ Cosby, Sammy Flex and Blakk Rasta at Zylofon FM.
