Zylofon Media: Changing entertainment industry’s narrative
The arts/entertainment industry has experienced such a jolt in the last year – a development that is significantly changing lives and altering the structuring of the industry in such a positive light.
And it is attributable to one name – Zylofon Media! Nana Appiah Mensah is the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, one of a number of successful companies under his proprietorship.
There’s also Menzgold Ghana Co. Limited, Brew Marketing Consult Co. Limited, Menzgold Espana S.L, T.I.A. Holdings (USA), Brew Energy Company Limited, Brew Realty Company Limited, Cheetah Security Co. Limited and many others.
Under Zylofon Media, a multi-dimensional creative company, Nana Appiah Mensah, also with the moniker, NAM, has elevated the creative industry with the creation of a plethora of establishments that are shaping the industry in such a momentous way.
The Zylofon Brand
In a smart operational drive, NAM is setting up units that would address almost every industry need. There’s Zylofon Marketing that would take care of selling the works of artists and products under the Zylofon name and others within the industry.
Zylofon Music is that brand that is providing resources for acts to record and project their works and its roster has the likes of Stonebwoy, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Obinini, Joyce Blessing and Shatta Wale.
He’s not just into established music stars, as he’s created the Zylofon Arts Club, a unit that houses and harnesses the untapped talent of young, budding folks.
Zylofon Movies provides the room for the promotion of Ghanaian movies, actors and their works and there’s Zylofon Theatre, a sophisticated large-seating edifice that would take care of the showcase of such works as well as serve as an auditorium for every other
In a country where legends of the craft are dying poor and the young are floundering over the mismanagement of their intellectual properties, NAM comes with a brilliant establishment – Zylofon Publishing; a company that would be responsible for ensuring that Ghanaian songwriters and composers receive payment when their compositions are used commercially.
Funding is one of the biggest banes of the industry with failed promises made by successive governments as well as the refusal of financial companies to support the arts. In another bold and impressive move, Nana Appiah Mensah sets up the Zylofon Arts Fund with capital of $1million to provide much needed succor for industry practitioners in the production, promotion and marketing of their works.
In the last decade, technology has seen a paradigm shift in how elements and products in the creative space are projected and it has also provided another avenue on how artists and art enthusiasts can make money. NAM recognizes the shift and has provided a leeway on how talented individuals can put themselves out there and make money too – in the name of Zylofon Dream & Zylofon Cash.
A once vibrant Ghanaian movie industry has teetered on the brink of collapse in the last couple of years, and the establishment of Zylofon Movies, Zylofon Marketing and Zylofon Publishing are expected to help reinvigorate the sector and as an essential add-on, there’s also the Zylofon Movie Awards – a scheme to award hard work, proficiency and excellence and encourage healthy competition in the area of film making in Ghana.
In all these, there must be a platform to trumpet and showcase all the works within the creative industry and there comes Zylofon TV, Zylofon FM and the portal, www.zylofonmedia.com.
But wait, there’s more! There are on-going works on the establishment of Zylofon Arts Stores across the country to sell physical and digital music, movies and other arts-related products, plus the making of Zylofon Data Tracking System to help in the general data collection, tracking and logging of songs and other related products.
Nana Appiah Mensah virtually has every hole covered in an industry that has been in such a haphazard state for years and in filling the holes, he’s helped build the economy by employing over 3,000 personnel across the country.
