Ghana’s survival depends on us
We all have recited both the national pledge and the national anthem or either of them at one point or the other in our lives.
A few times we have joined the national football teams to sing along the chorus of the national anthem. But… did we really mean every word we sang?
We recite the national pledge as though it is another lullaby and the national anthem, another folksong with little appreciation for the depth of sacrifice and love that was used to write such deep, great pieces.
I can only imagine the reaction of Kwame Nkrumah reliving the days of our lives today; the corruption and indiscipline!
The sweat and blood of our ancestors today has been exchanged for self-gratification.
