Asante Akyem honours Dr Ogbordjor
The Municipal Health Directorate in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality has honoured the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Klass Hospital, Dr Steve Ogbordjor, for his outstanding contribution to the development of health in the area.

It is the second time this year that Dr Ogbordjor is being honoured in the municipality for his personal contribution to health care in the area.
Not long ago, the assembly named an arterial road after him in Konongo Zongo — “Dr Ogbordjor Link” — under the street-naming and property address system instituted by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
At an awards presentation ceremony and dinner held in his honour at the Senior Staff Club House of the Owere Mines, Dr Ogbordjor received a citation presented jointly by the Municipal Health Director, Mr Martin Safo Osei and the Headmistress of the Konongo-Odumase Senior High School, Ms Comfort Amponsah Odehe.
Dr Ogbordjor was acknowledged for generating employment for a number of youth in the Konongo Zongo community and the special attention he paid in treating the poor at his hospital.
He was also mentioned for his involvement and contribution, both in kind and in cash, towards programmes on health in the municipality.
At the function, representatives of the chiefs of Konongo and Odumase, in honour of Dr Ogbordjor, promised to make available to the municipal health directorate about 400 plots of land to be used for infrastructural development.
Dr Ogbordjor expressed his gratitude to the municipal health directorate for the honour done him and pledged his continuous support towards improving health in the area.
