The technical equipment was donated to strengthen the Commission’s digital system in order to make processing of public documents more effective and efficient.

The Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission, Dr Wilfred Anim-Odame, received the items. He thanked the TDC for acceding to a request from the commission to have its computer systems restructured and re-engineered.

Dr Anim-Odame said the equipment would help them to properly examine documents and deal with some of the discrepancies facing the institution and the public.

He warned the public to desist from encroaching on public lands or face the full rigour of the law, when caught.

He also advised the public to deal with Licenced Surveyors in order to have their documents processed quickly and correctly.

He said they were aware of the challenges the public were going through so the commission was poised to use the machines for the intended purposes to bring smiles on the faces of the clients.

Presenting the items, Mr Joe Abbey, Managing Director of TDC, said it was about a year ago, when the commission made the request and upon a careful study and observation, the TDC saw the need to provide the equipment.

He said TDC saw the urgent need to help re-engineer the computer systems of the commision for effective and efficient work.
