Edwenase Rehab Centre receives computer
MTN, a mobile telephony company, has donated 10 sets of computers and accessories to the Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre in Kumasi to enable the inmates to be trained in ICT and be computer literates.
In addition to the computers, the company will furnish the Information Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory for the centre.

The Corporate Services Advisor for the Northern Sector of MTN, Mrs Charity Darko, presented the items and said although the centre had benefited from the Yellow Care Activities of the company in the past, MTN still decided to meet some of the special needs of the centre.
She said as a special school, the centre needed certain facilities that would facilitate teaching and learning and a computer laboratory was one.
She said the company would continue to assist the centre to ensure a comfortable life and bright future for the occupants of the centre.
Gratitude
The Head of the centre, Mr Modesto Ayiwole, praised the company for the help and stated that although some of the children had learning difficulties, the computers would help them pick up.
Besides, he said most of the schools within the community did not have ICT laboratories and added that arrangements could be made with the heads of the schools to enable them to use the centre for their ICT practical classes.
