Fire guts vehicles and containers at Sofoline auto workshop
A combined team from the Bremang and Twedie Fire Stations successfully contained a major fire ourbreak at Sofoline auto workshop new site in Kumasi Sunday evening [January 25, 2026].
The distress call was received by the Ghana National Fire Service at 8:00 pm, and fire personnel arrived at the scene within 14 minutes, at 8:14 pm. The blaze, which engulfed several vehicles and metal containers, which serves as shops for spare parts were destroyed by the fire.
The fire personnel were able to control the inferno at 9:51 pm and fully extinguished it by 10:46 pm.
In total, 27 vehicles and 22 metal containers, along with their contents, were completely destroyed. No casualties were recorded.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
