In separate interviews with the Daily Graphic, the exhibitors expressed their satisfaction with patronage, given the fact that it was the first time such a fair had been organised as part of the Kwahu Easter festivities.

They, however, pleaded with the organisers, the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly (KWMA) to step up publicity of the fair, so that they would receive more patronage during subsequent events.

Encouraging business

Mrs Ramatu Wasai-Limann, the owner of Auxano Forcuer Shea Butter in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region said business at the fair was very encouraging.

She, however, asked for more publicity and a way to move most of the guests on the Kwahu Ridge to the fairgrounds during the Easter festivities.

Mrs Wasai-Limann said she was happy that the initial fee of GH¢400 to exhibit had been slashed for her, due to the long distance she had to travel from the Upper West Region.

Ms Kafui Akoto, a designer and owner of KAPAX, also said business had been very encouraging despite the fact that the exhibition was new.

Various products such as African wear and jewellery, artifacts, locally assembled gas cookers, organic fertiliser, and designer footwear and ladies bags were also on display when the Daily Graphic team visited.
