Hairdresser in police grip for stabbing boyfriend
A 27-year old hairdresser, Hilda Asomani, is in the grip of police for stabbing her 30-year old boyfriend, Prince Aboagye to death at Abesim, near Sunyani.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at about 1:30 am as a result of a misunderstanding between the two.
According to the police, Asomani is alleged to have stabbed Aboagye on the left side of his neck with a pair of scissors, leading to his death.

Aboagye worked at the Oti Yeboah Company Limited as an auto mechanic and was living at the company’s bungalow with Asomani.

According to the Sunyani Municipal Police Commander, DSP Francis Numado, who confirmed the incident to Graphic Online, the co-workers of the deceased said Aboagye and Asomani quarreled throughout the night of the incident.
He explained that Asomani accused Aboagye of dating another lady, which brought the misunderstanding between the two after she questioned him over her suspicions.
DSP Numado said in the process the co-workers said they heard Aboagye shouting and screaming and when they rushed to his room, they found him lying in a pool of blood with his girlfriend standing by him.
He added that Aboagye was rushed to the Sunyani Municipal Hospital for treatment, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
DSP Numado said when the victim was interrogated, she admitted to having stabbed Aboagye, explaining that the lady in question had been in a relationship with Aboagye for about one-and-a-half years.
She added that her boyfriend had a two-and-half years old child with the lady in question.

DSP Numado said the victim was currently in custody assisting the police in its investigations, while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Sunyani Regional Hospital awaiting autopsy and preservation.
