I’m poised for victory — Bryan Acheampong

Dr Bryan Acheampong has pledged to optimise the party’s structures to deliver power to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should he triumph in Saturday’s five-man presidential primary.

“Structures will be respected, rules followed, and hard work rewarded,” he said, as he rounded up his campaign yesterday.

“There will be no Bryan’s camp, no defeated camp. There will be one NPP,” Dr Acheampong said, adding that “every party structure, from national to polling station level, will be supported.”

He said he would also ensure that orphan constituencies would have their parliamentary candidates selected before the end of the year.

Media engagement

With just two days to the NPP flag bearer election, Dr Acheampong yesterday addressed the media in Accra, climaxing his nationwide tour of all 16 regions and 276 constituencies.

His message, on the theme: “Renewing the Spirit of the NPP: Grassroots, Unity and Victory Ahead in 2028”, was a stirring call to heal divisions and rebuild the party’s confidence.

Dr Acheampong reminded delegates that the painful lessons of 2024, when over two million voters supposedly declined to vote, and the party losing significant parliamentary seats must never be repeated.

“We cannot march into 2028 divided. Victory will not happen by chance.

It will happen through preparation, coordination, unity and discipline,” he declared.

Referencing the Biblical verse in Joshua 1:9, he urged delegates to be strong and courageous, pledging to lead with faith, discipline and purpose.

The former Minister of Food and Agriculture issued a roadmap to victory, declaring 2026 as the year of unity and rebuilding, 2027 as the year of total readiness, and 2028 as the year of victory.

Dr Acheampong also outlined bold policy commitments in jobs and youth employment, food security, housing initiatives, tourism development and economic empowerment, all designed to restore national confidence.

“Together, we will lift this party. Together, we  will rebuild confidence. Together, we will win in 2028,” he said.

Grassroots voices echoed support for his campaign.

“Bryan listens, Bryan respects, Bryan delivers,” a delegate who attended the briefing said.
