Kwahu Professionals Network elects new executive

The Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN), an association of professionals dedicated to the socio-economic development of Kwahu, has elected a new executive to steer the affairs of the network. 

The executive team, which has Richard Sarpong as the President, will steer the affairs of the network for the next two years. They were elected at the network’s latest Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Other executive members are the Vice-President, Diana Opoku Konadu; Secretary, Felix Gyimah Darfour; Communications Director, Heidi Akosua Boateng; Membership Director, Augustine Atta Agyei and Finance Director, Evans Nyarko Siaw.

Milestone

Before handing over the mantle of leadership, the outgoing President, Prince Boateng, delivered a comprehensive report, reflecting the milestones achieved under his tenure that had significantly strengthened both the KPN and the broader Kwahu community.

Among these achievements he said, was the launch of “KPN Inspires”, a transformative mentorship platform that has shaped the career aspirations and personal growth of thousands of young people in Kwahu.

In addition to this was the “KPN GiveBack”, an initiative to provide essential healthcare services to thousands of people in Kwahu.

He spotlighted an edition where the network partnered the Ghana Medical Association for a five-day healthcare outreach, offering surgeries and specialist care to thousands in the region.

Mr Boateng added that the KPN’s impact extended beyond social initiatives to fostering professional growth and economic empowerment. 

Vision

Following their swearing-in, the newly elected President, Mr Sarpong, outlined his vision for the next two years.

He emphasised a renewed focus on collaboration with key stakeholders, including members of Parliament, traditional rulers and community leaders to ensure that Kwahu secures its fair share of national resources.

Mr Sarpong further emphasised the economic potential of the Kwahu Easter festivities, stating its role as a driver of local commerce, job creation and tourism growth.

His leadership, he said, would prioritise investment in healthcare, education and infrastructure through active stakeholder engagement, ensuring that KPN remained at the forefront of development initiatives that benefit Kwahuman.

Beyond community impact, he reaffirmed KPN’s commitment to enhancing the value of membership, creating more opportunities for networking, professional development and economic empowerment.
