Kade Traditional Council calls for tightened security in Kade
The Kade Traditional Council has urged security agencies in the Kade Municipality to strengthen their operations so that law-abiding citizens can go about their duties peacefully.
The council has in addition expressed grave concern about the growing acts of indiscipline, lawlessness, intimidation and insecurity at Kade and the consequent socio-economic problems it was creating.
Addressing a news conference at Kade last Friday, the Kadehene, Osabarima Agyare Tenadu II, said the upsurge in criminal activities was denting the image of the once vibrant, peaceful and fast growing municipality.

He expressed regret over the lynching of a young man in the municipality recently as well as the stabbing to death of a taxi driver by his 16-year-old girlfriend.
Palace vandalised
Osabarima Tenadu said the criminal behaviour of troublemakers was extended to his palace which had been vandalised four times this year alone.
He said he had lodged a complaint with the Kade Police who are investigating the cases.
He urged the youth of Kade to lead morally upright lives and not to do anything to denigrate the good name of the town and the peace and development prevailing currently.
Ekaade Festival
The Kadehene said the traditional area would this year celebrate the Ekaade Festival which had not been held for a long time due to continuous disturbances in Kade.
A section of the people interviewed by the Daily Graphic attributed the acts of criminality and lawlessness in Kade to the lukewarm attitude of the municipal police.

Suspected criminals set free
A welder resident in Kade, Mr Kwasi Agyei, attributed the misbehaviour among the youth in the town to the quick release of criminal suspects arrested by the police from custody.
He said once they were freed, such characters went about attacking people whom they suspected to be informants.
