Man beheads uncle’s wife
A young man who allegedly beheaded his uncle’s wife at Nsuaem Number Two in the Bosome Freho District in the Ashanti Region was put before the Bekwai Magistrate Court Monday.

Kwame Michael, 18, is said to have asked the woman to accompany him into the bush to assist him to carry cocoa beans from his farm to the house last Saturday.
His plea was not taken and he will reappear next Monday.
He reportedly confessed to the crime but is yet to reveal his motive for killing the woman.
Meanwhile, the Bekwai Police Command, with the assistance of the Nsuaem Number Two community, has embarked on a thorough search for the woman’s missing head.
Briefing the Daily Graphic, the Bekwai District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr Edward Obeng-Boateng, said around 7 a.m. last Saturday, Michael asked the deceased, Mavis Boateng, 26, who was returning from a refuse dump, to accompany him to his farm to collect cocoa beans.
He said the last time Mavis was seen was on her way to the Esuookoo farmlands with Michael, but when he was queried, the culprit denied knowing Mavis’s whereabouts.
He said a search team later found the body.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho, Mr Kwame Adarkwa, said a traditional priest had earlier made the people to buy eggs, a sheep and other materials to perform rituals to locate the body but that effort proved futile.
He said the traditional priest told the people that dwarfs had carried the body away into the realms of the spirits and that would require additional rituals.
Threat to DCE
Confirming the gruesome murder and the continued search for the body to the Daily Graphic, the DCE said, “Michael confessed to killing Mavis to me.”
He said it was some members of the community who had informed him that Michael was suspected of killing Mavis and concealing the body in the bush.
He said initially the police released Michael, who took the opportunity to flee to a nearby community, but an angry group numbering over 400 besieged the palace where he was seeking refuge.
Mr Adarkwa said the youth were convinced that Michael had killed Mavis and did not believe the traditional priest.
According to the DCE, “I had to virtually go down on my knees to plead with them, after they had taken money from me, before they allowed me to whisk the culprit away, in the company of the police”.
