National Chief Imam Honoured with plaque and citation
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh (Dr.) Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, has been presented with a plaque and a citation as the Chief Patron of Sanitation and Water.
The presentation of the plaque as a mark of honour and distinction to the Chief Imam was made by the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah when she paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam.
The sector Minister expressed her gratitude to the National Chief Imam for accepting to be the Chief Patron for the Sanitation and Water sub-sectors.
She said the nation appreciates his role and it was only proper to bestow such honour on him.
Cecilia Abena Dapaah thanked the Chief Imam for the warm and cordial reception accorded her and her staff and prayed for God's blessings and guidance upon his life.
Receiving the plaque, the National Chief Imam expressed gratitude for the kind gesture and prayed for God's protection, guidance and blessings on the life of the Minister and her entire staff.
He commended the harmony and peaceful co-existence among all the various religious faiths in the country and also prayed for the peace of the world.
It will be recalled that on October 2, 2019, the Minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah while on a tour within the Accra metropolis paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam and bestowed on him the title of Chief Patron for Sanitation and Water.
She was accompanied by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Noah Tumfo and other senior staff of the Ministry.
