C/R: Police arrest 19 over drugs and robbery at Dominase Onion market

The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested 19 individuals in connection with illicit drug and robbery operations at the Kasoa Dominase enclave and Onion Market in the Central Region.

The arrests were made during a targeted operation on Wednesday, June 12, 2025. The suspects include Abubakari Ibrahim, Mohammed Awal, Shafiu Salisu, Hamza Amadu, Ali Adamu, Balhani Fuseini, Jamal Haruna and Zakari Abdulai.

Others named are; Abdul Aziz, Bera Kalidu, Moro Baki, Anthony Lucky, Razak Yussif, Sumani Issah, Sulley Mohammed, Abdul Salifu, Eliasu Bukari, Kamelo Muuk, and Osumanu Amadu.

According to the police, several illicit substances were retrieved during the raid, including suspected Indian hemp and pharmaceutical drugs such as Tramadol and Red.

All 19 suspects are currently in custody and assisting with investigations. Authorities confirmed they will be arraigned in court in due course.

The Regional Command praised the officers involved in the operation and urged them to continue their efforts in fighting crime.

It also appealed to the public to support ongoing efforts by providing timely information that would aid in combating drug trafficking, substance abuse, and robbery, thereby helping to maintain public safety.
