Akufo-Addo resumes campaign in Wa today

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today  begin the second phase of his campaign to seek the mandate of delegates of the New Patriotic Party ahead of the October 18 presidential primaries.

A statement issued in Accra by his spokesperson, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, said Nana Akufo-Addo would embark on a 10-day tour of the country to thank delegates for the resounding victory they gave him on Sunday, August 31, at the Special Electoral College.

The two-time flag-bearer of the party received an overwhelming 80.81 per cent endorsement of his candidature by the delegates.

He would start his tour in Wa in the Upper West Region today, with the team moving to the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga, tomorrow.

Nana Akufo-Addo will, on Wednesday, meet the delegates from the Northern Region in Tamale.
