Dr Yamoah calls for issue-based campaigns ahead of NPP Germany polls

The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Germany Branch Elections Vetting Committee, Dr William Yamoah, has urged aspirants cleared to contest the branch executive elections to conduct their campaigns in a manner that promotes unity and upholds the values and integrity of the party.

Dr Yamoah, who is also the Director of Finance and Administration of the NPP, made the call after the committee completed the vetting of aspirants for the elections scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026.

He said the committee had undertaken a thorough, transparent and impartial assessment of nomination documents, eligibility requirements and interviews before clearing 22 aspirants to contest various executive positions.

"We commend you all for your cooperation throughout the vetting exercise and encourage you to conduct your campaigns in a manner that upholds unity, the values and integrity of our Party," Dr Yamoah stated.

Dr Yamoah, who graduated from the University of Ghana with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration and Policy Management last Saturday, said the committee appreciated the cooperation of all aspirants throughout the vetting process, stressing that fairness, transparency and impartiality guided every stage of the exercise.

He said the successful aspirants had satisfied all the requirements after a careful review of their documents and interviews.

"The Branch Elections Committee wishes to thank you for making yourself available for the vetting process. After a thorough, transparent and impartial review of your submitted documents, the eligibility criteria and interviews, the committee has cleared the aspirants to contest the upcoming branch elections," he said.


Cleared aspirants

Those cleared include Dr Henry Reynolds Nana Benyin Enninful and Dr Felix Yamoah for Chairman; Edith Opoku Mensah, Francis Brenya Benson, Augustine Kofi Opoku and Clement Brako Akomea for First Vice-Chairman; Ruth Lindenberger and Esther Nana Gyamfuah for Second Vice-Chairman; Kofi Okantah and Akwasi Opoku Edusei for Secretary; Isaac Boakye Frempong and Anthony Crentsil for Deputy Secretary; Faharideen Mohammed Awal and Rita Pokuaa Osei for Treasurer; Kusi Appau Nicholas and Siita Abdul Khaaliq for Organiser; Catherine Oboobi and Mary Ahenkan for Women Organiser; Oduko Kwadwo Oppong for Youth Organiser; Alhaji Ziblila Salifu for Nasara Organiser; and Michael Arthur and Nana Osei Boateng Gbedemah for Communications Officer.

Dr Yamoah wished all the aspirants success in the elections and appealed to them to ensure peaceful, issue-based campaigns that would strengthen party cohesion.
