Party unity key to victory on Dec. 7 — Odeneho Kwaku Appiah

A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Afigya-Kwabre South, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has stated that party unity holds the key to the party remaining in power.

“We can be sure of remaining in power if we all remain united and by doing so, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would continue to stay in opposition,” he stated.

He has, therefore, called for unity among party members and supporters to strengthen campaigns at the grassroots to help the party retain power.

Odeneho Appiah, who was speaking at the campaign launch of the Offinso South branch of the party, said unity, hard work and teamwork were crucial in the party’s quest to retain power in the 2024 general election.

He stressed the need for party members to engage in door-to-door campaigns in order not to miss anything.

“Campaigns do not end on the platform; from here, I encourage all of us to visit the constituents in their homes, make them understand why it is important to vote and retain the NPP in power and by doing so, be sure that this election is won,” he told the enthusiastic crowd.

Odeneho Appiah charged them to desist from voting “skirt and blouse,” where the electorate votes for a presidential candidate of a party and votes for another party’s parliamentary candidate.

“The fight in our Parliament today is a result of the outcome of our votes in 2020. While you are voting for the candidate, don’t forget to vote for the flag-bearer too.

This is for productivity and smooth running of our next government,” he stated.

The Member of Parliament for the area, Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku, who is contesting again in December, appealed to the supporters to retain him in power to continue with the various development projects underway in the area.
